On a Christmas

On a Christmas, as Santa Claus was ringing his bell on the 101st Street in Brooklyn, New York, he noticed a youth working in a gifts and card shop. Being impressed with his sincerety at work, Santa requested the fellow to send an application for the post of Supervisor "Gift wrapping and specialised packing" to the following address:-
To
The H.R.Elf
Santa and Co.
Where all the outer walls of the castle face southwards
North Pole.
A few months before the next Christmas, our man was on leave for a few days before the hectic preparation for Christmas got underway. He was walking down the streets of New York on a Friday evening watching people sitting on the benches of Central Park chatting away with each other in the fading light.
Suddenly, he had a feeling of being watched and turned to see a girl standing in the lights near the doorway of a coffee shop. The girl knew who he was and her eyebrows raised itself into a question mark to the question conveyed by her eyes. The eyebrows seemed to want to know, if whether, her gift for Christmas would be nicely packed. Our man closed in his eyebrows, showing gravity on his face and gave a thumbs-up sign to the pretty young lady. As he resumed his walk, he could hear the gleeful voice of an enthralled being alongwith the patter of prancing feet in the dark shadows of the lane. And then it began to rain.
