NCP Dawood Connection

Dawood is a product of Mumbai's politician-underworld nexus. During the Eighties Dawood graduated as the shining star of Underworld. When Mumbai Police tightened the noose in the late eighties, Dawood fled to Dubai.  Sharad Pawar, the then Chief Minister, tried to bring Dawood back but upright police officers like Arvind Inamdar IPS, then Mumbai Police Commissioner opposed the move and Dawood remained a fugitive eversince. After the 1991 Lok Sabha elections under Narasimha Rao Govt, Pawar became Defence Minister and Sudhakarrao Naik was the Chief Minister of the State. By mid 1992, Pawar felt restless in Delhi as Sudhakarrao Naik with the Support of Prime Minister was acting strongly against Pawar loyalists with underworld connection like Pappu Kalani, Thakur brothers of Vasai etc. Then on 6th December 1992, the Babri structure (Masjid) was razed to ground. Pawar seized the opportunity to remove the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Communal trouble started on 9th December in Mumbai City, which has never experienced communal trouble after 1947. Two police constables were lynched and made into keema in the Dongri Nagpada area and the force retaliated in the killing of more than hundred people and it went on for a few days causing heavy casualties in police action. If as tipped off the Police Constables were killed by Dawoods men, then THIS WAS A CLEAR VICTORY FOR DAWOOD AND PAWAR. In January 1993, the riots started in Malad by killing Maratha mutton shop owners in the same way the Police Havaldars were killed on 9th of December. And this continued for four days with police remaining inactive with strict instructions of not using firearms resulting in heavy casualties and loss of life to the majority community. Then the ShivSena Supremo Bal Thackeray exhorted to protect the city against the atrocities on Hindu Community. It was a clear case of police inaction and political interference which resulted in heavy human casualties, mostly to the minority community. Minority community lost heavily in both December 1992 and January 1993 riots and Dawood wanted to take revenge which resulted in serial bomb blasts during March 1993. 13 blasts in 2 hours in various parts of Mumbai City resulting in the death of 257 people. After the riots and the bomb blasts the narrative got changed to Ayodhya Issue. The Central Government and the State Government under Congress Party never tried to unearth the true cause of the Bombay Riots in Dec 92 and Jan 93. Instead the Srikrishna Commission Enquiry found a few Shiv Sena headers involvement, but the Dawood Factor was never exposed. Pawar, the cleverest and most corrupt leader in Indian Politics remained outside the ambit of enquiries even though many in Mumbai and Maharashtra State knew about the facts. Because Modi has a soft corner for Pawar,  Sharad Pawar's Baramati was not contested by BJP in the last  elections and Pawar was given Padma Vibhushan. Prashant Thakur, the Thakur henchmen of Pawar are contesting on two tickets of BJP from the holy city of Pen and the Mumbai heartland of Panvel in the elections to be held on the 21st of this month. Rest is History. All I have to say is Thank You India, Thank You terror, Thank You disillusionment. Thank you frailty, thank you consequence, thank you thank you silence.
